A Notice on registration and return to campus for the fall semester in 2021

According to the instructions from the school, the following arrangement has been made for international students who will register / return to campus for the fall semester in 2021:

1. Registration Date:

For New Students:

Undergraduate students on Hongkou campus: September 1 / 2

Non-degree students on Hongkou Campus: September 13

All students on Songjiang Campus: September 15

 

For Current Students:

Degree students: September 6

Non-degree students: September 13

 

2. Preconditions for registration on campus

1) Students in or have been to the areas (including districts, cities, districts of a municipality, and areas where the local government has locked down) with medium or high risk alert of COVID-19 can’t return to campus and should stay where they are.

If you have already arrived in Shanghai from or via those areas, you must report to the community of your residence or hotel as soon as possible (no later than 12 hours upon arrival).  For the students plan to return to campus, you must meet the following requirements: a) If you come from or via high risk areas, you will be quarantined for 14 days and will take 2 nucleic acid tests. The test results must be negative; b) If you come from or via medium risk areas or the county/ district/city where the medium-or high-risk area is located, you must stay at home for strict health observations for 14 days. You also have to take 2 nucleic acid tests and the test results must be negative.

2) Students who come to Shanghai from other parts of the country (low risk areas) must send beforehand their nucleic acid testing certificate of negative results (tested within 48 hours of departure to Shanghai) to zhangxinyu@shisu.edu.cn (for Hongkou campus) / chentian@shisu.edu.cn (for Songjiang Campus).  You are also required to take another nucleic acid test as soon as you return to campus.

3) Students in Shanghai who have been to areas whose risk alerts were downgraded to “low risk” in the past 21 days must stay at home for strict health observations for 7 days.  You have to take a nucleic acid test and the test results must be negative. After you return to campus, you are also required to continue the health observations for another 7 days.

Students in Shanghai who have been to areas whose risk rate were upgraded to “medium or high risk” in the past 14 days must stay at home for strict health observations for 14 days.  They have to take 2 nucleic acid tests and the test results must be negative.

4) If local students’ family members (roommates) return from a medium/high risk area (at home or abroad) in 21 days to the registration date, they should report to the school beforehand. After they return to campus, they are also required to carefully observe their health status for 7 days.

5) Students in Shanghai who are in or via the medium/high risk areas can’t return to campus until the risk alert of the areas are downgraded to “low risk”.

6) New students must start observing their health status 15 days before the registration date. They must send their "Application Form for getting on campus", itinerary code, and health code via email to zhangxinyu@shisu.edu.cn (for Hongkou campus) / chentian@shisu.edu.cn (for Songjiang campus) on the 14th day.

7) Returning students must start their health check-in on school Apps and keep the records at least 14 days before they return to campus.
